What is Perelandra?
Perelandra Design is an architectural rendering and animation company based out of Portland, OR. With an unique blend of expertise in the fields of sustainable design, landscape construction and visual communication, founder Tim Bono established Perelandra to serve the design development community of architects, artists, planners, developers, contractors, landscape architects, visioneers, and engineers locally and abroad.
How do you work?
By showcasing the details of your project virtually, Perelandra generates the excitement pivotal for your project vision by providing viewers with an up-close and in-depth understanding of your design intent and fostering the critical “aha” moments. Whether pitching concepts to a client, presenting at a public meeting to stakeholders, preparing marketing materials for investors, or simply aiming to edge out competition in the next upcoming proposal, Perelandra can help take your graphics to the next level in order to wow your target audience and win the next job.
Who is Tim?
Founder Tim Bono, LEED AP BD+C, enjoys creating dynamic illustrations using a consortium of mediums, and is thrilled at the opportunity to construct, represent, and choreograph beautiful real-life developments and designs. Originally from the South, Tim graduated with his Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia (go dawgs!) where he focused on architectural graphics and ecological design. Since arriving in the Willamette valley in 2006, Tim has enjoyed nearly ten years of professional practice in the Portland area while appreciating the arts, community, and inspiring natural beauty of the Northwest.
Why the name “Perelandra”?
Perelandra draws inspiration from philosopher and author C.S. Lewis, who envisioned the planet of “Perelandra” in his sci-fi Space Trilogy series. The beautiful archipelago setting of Perelandra embodies the vision of Perelandra Design – creating and portraying new worlds through creative art and imaginative, skilled design.
